JGHB 1430.1
Rev B
The John Galactic brand standard. Industrial first, a little space — informed by NASA NHB 1430.2 (1976) and engineering handbooks. It governs every surface we ship: screens, signs, plates and paper.
1.0 Name and lockups
The public name is exactly John Galactic. No outlines, no glow, no other typeface.
Habitat · Space
Media · Systems
S7 for first appearances and the company. Inside a product, where context is obvious, John may be dropped — e.g. Galactic OS.
For apps and digital launchers only. “JG” is never written as a name and never appears on printed stationery.
Galactic OS · Galactic Media · Galactic Music
Product names belong to John Galactic; none is a brand of its own.
2.0 Colour semantics
Pure Black — every dark surface. No greyish blacks.
Mint — light screens and walls.
Paper — printed documents.
International Orange — action. One primary per view, one 3 px rule per page. Small text on light uses #B23A10.
Navy — information: text, links, focus, wayfinding arrows. Never a background or fill.
3.0 Typography
Chinese falls back to DotGothic16.
4.0 Wayfinding
- Cap height (mm) = viewing distance (m) × 4
- Arrow = 1.2 × cap height
- Margin = 1 × cap height; line gap = 0.6 × cap height

Put the standard to work.
